Racing with the jelly rolls
Ok, you all tell me I'm quick with my quilts, so I need to put the pedal to the metal to produce two jelly roll quilts by Wednesday. My machine dealer is beginning to stock fabrics, and wants me to teach a class on jelly rolls. I have no samples! All are given away or spoken for! Also want to make one for my daughter in law whose birthday was Sunday, need a gift to go with a new skillet. All need to be delivered by Wednesday afternoon! I'm leaving town Thursday morning! Ladies, start your engines! Vrooooom! Here we go!

Re: Racing with the jelly rolls
Got the tops done tonight, including cutting the jelly roll strips for one of them! Borders and quilting tomorrow.
Re: Racing with the jelly rolls
We knew you could buzz them out quickly! Show us some pics, please!
Re: Racing with the jelly rolls
Knew you could do it Jean....I have to figure out how to make a lap size quilt out of Jelly Roll strips....need 15 lap quilts by Christmas for my nephew to hand out to vets living in a home....some won't even let you know their names....how do I get this done and make proper labels so everyone gets one and there is no confusion over who's quilt belongs to whom after laundry!
Re: Racing with the jelly rolls
I think you can do it, if you do it in steps. First session : sew strips together. Second session: sew the rows to make the top. Third session: borders and sandwiching. Session four: quilt and bind. Just write their name on the back with permanent marker so they get them back from the laundry.
You can do it. You'll get in a groove quickly and see how easy they are to finish.
Re: Racing with the jelly rolls
Who was that masked bandit that just vroomed by here? There were strings of fabric hanging off.
