    Default Todays blog

Did you all see the primitive flags on todays Blog? OMG they are so awesome...gotta try to make them. Think I might actually try to make them with my grandsons this weekend while they are here. Gotta start young to get them inspired! I think they could sew the stripes on by hand...don't you? They are 3 months shy of being 5. We will give it a try and will let you all know how it turns out.

I think the flags are awesome, too! I plan to make a batch for the 4th so everyone who comes to our place for bbq can take one home. I set the picture as the background on my computer and it's the best ever...

Good idea! I have to work on the 4th...maybe I should make a bunch and take them to work and hand out to the patients!

I thought I might try them with my grandkids also, I babysit them on Thursdays. I have no access to any branches of any sort, I live in a new neighborhood without one tree in it, I should say, without one branch shedding tree in it, they are all too young to be shedding branches yet. That would be my grandson's favorite part, picking up the branches to tie the flags to.

I was up early and searched the yard for sticks... What a fast and fun project.

I love them too. I will have to see if I have any of my blue stars material left after making my binding today for the Texas wall-hanging. I know I have red and white material and LOTS AND LOTS of trees around for my sticks. And I can do all the sewing by hand while watching a movie in the air-conditioning!
