    Default Next Project

    Hi

    Hope all are well!
I am getting on witht life in generally and quilting especially.

Besides my jelly roll star quilt i am thinking of starting a single Irish Chain

I been watching Granny Judys tutorial and Elenor burns tutorial. and think i may pull it off.

I have a fabric wiht clocks on it that i will use as a solid block and for the chain i will use 2 diffrent blue fabric.
I think i might have some thing here.

When i get home from work i will post pic of the fabric i will use.

Untill then have a great day or evening where ever you are.

    Love Annika

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The stash to make a quilt to help me cope,
A quilt to give to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear and uncertainty.
And the courage to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

Annika, I think your quilt will be great. I love Eleanor Burns' patterns. I have most of her books and learned to quilt by watching her tv program, "Quilt in a Day". The directions and photos in her books make it easy for anyone to make her quilts. I'm anxious to see your finished quilt.

The colors go together well. Don't know how to make a single Irish chain, but I'm sure you can figure it out and it will be stunning!

Absolutely perfect!!! I can't wait to see this!!!! I love that clock fabric, I saw it on your other post! Are the clocks a dark blue or black? Either way it is going to be gorgeous!!! And the U.S. map with Mo. in the middle - too perfect! This is going to be another Forum Quilt like Cyndi's. Love your choice of fabrics!!!

Your quilt is going to be gorgeous!!!!! You have a great eye for fabric, too. Thinking of those clocks for the big block is a stroke of genius. I absolutely love both blues, but the dark blue - oh, my! I am a sucker for dark fabric colors. Get going and sewing! (I am a poet, and didn't know it.)

The clocks are diffrent shades of blue, lighter in color than the chain fabric so i think it will blend nicely
