    Default Prayers for Bethany's Kids

As many of you know, we have been doing quilts for "Cyndiofthevortex" for her foster Grand-Children. Cyndi tells me that a few of "our kids" are in transition. This means that they may be moving on, either back home or to a different situation. We talked about starting a post for this and at first she did not think it was such a good idea because of the privacy laws and there is so little we can say. I told her that we do not need to worry about the details and that many of you understand about all that as you have either been a foster parent or foster grand parent or maybe even an adoptive parent.
There are children it seems always coming or going and my hat is off to Bethany and all those that do this out of the goodness of their Hearts.
So if you don't mind one more prayer request - please keep these children in mind - once they leave we may never hear from them again and we have no idea how they will be - good or bad. a HUGE THANK YOU again from Cyndi and myself for your help and continued support.
    ~Kathy~

    Kathy,

I've received a PM regarding a child that I'm working on a quilt for who needed some special prayers. Personally I thought it was wonderful that Bethany and Cyndi included me within the child's circle to pray for her. I felt honored!

There are many good hearted people on this Forum, they don't need to know the full details of the situation of these children, just the fact that they NEED a prayer and some good thoughts and wishes sent in their name.

Please God send your blessings to these children and the whole household as they need Your love.

Kathy, Cyndi and Bethany...thanks for sharing the children with us! Keep this project going! I know for myself and Don we have discussed that I would start to create a stash of quilts for boys and girls - various ages. Instead of sending to Project Linus, we would keep them for Bethany's kids and other requests that come through the Forum.

    Huggers, Ruby

Have to agree with Ruby. Just knowing that these precious children need our prayers is enough for me. You have to realize that children are placed in foster care for a variety of reasons, and none of them are good. That being said, we need to continue praying for these, "Gods Little Angels", if for no other reason, the position that hey have been put in, and the future that they are facing. God Bless Bethany and Cyndi, and their families. They are a Godsend to these special kids. Prayers continuing for all the kids, and those you undoubtedly will get in the future.

Heart-wrenching, to be certain. I have so badly wished I could participate in this cause but right now I have a full plate. I've been eating away at it though and soon, I hope. Al's mother used to take in foster children and I know the time, effort, and love that without a doubt goes into it. It is not a task that I could do - but there are other ways to help out. One of these is by showing the love you have shown by giving these children quilts. I love Ruby's idea of stock-piling quilts for children (and others) in need. Nothing does my heart more good than being able to give something to someone in need.
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

I have been saying prayers since I got my PM, being an adoptive parent and being married to someone who grew up and aged out of foster care. It is hard on the caretakers as well as the children.

All the people on this forum are so very special! Indeed, I will keep it going, this little project is near and Dear to my Heart. Some of your comments reminded me of exactly how I felt when I was working on Tracy's Quilt before it "became" her quilt. I was just doing it for the practice on F/G then it became "quilting for a cause". I so enjoyed finishing that one and Kayla's also. I will also be sending a couple, maybe more to Marilyn for her great cause also. It is such a good feeling!

As she gets new kids, just let us know. I cannot express enough, how truly greatful I am to the wonderful people on here. I have a cause, like yours that is near and dear to my heart, and the amazing folks on here, just jumped right in to help me with it. It has turned in to so much more than I ever could have dreamed of. I can say without pause, that I do indeed love the people on here. They are a breed above average. Special everyone of them. I was led to this forum for a reason, and am finding out why. Ok, now before I get to mushy, gonna stop it at that.

These children are all in difficult situations and do need prayer, care and comfort. Here are the names and ages for you to pray for one or more specifically:

Matthew, 8 and Carter,5 who are brothers.

Helen,3 and Ralph, 5 who are brother and sister.

Tracy, 12, Ryan, 6 and Brad, 4 who are brothers and sister.

Kayla, 5 and Lily, 3 who are sisters.

Kyle who is 2. He has two older siblings living with a relative. Their names are Karen and Kevin.

Two other children have passed through the house this month for repite care. Their names are David and Carl. They are 5 and 4 years old. Anyone want to make quilts for them?

Thank you all for praying and caring.
    Cyndi

Me, me, me! I love making quilts for little boys. Any themes come to mind? I can do Cars, transportation, "To Infinity and Beyond" Pirates, I could go on and on!
