Default Just Found Out & Sad

I just found out that one of my reading students is suffering from liver failure which resulted in his having to have surgeries on his, bladder, pancreas, lungs, and others. They are having a benefit for him on July 1, 2012 and they will be auctioning off items to raise money for him. I would like to make an American Rag Quilt wall hanging for him, but I have ZERO Americana fabric. I will cut the blocks will be cut 7" (to make 6" rag blocks). Would anyone be willing to donate material or maybe even a few blocks that all I would need to do would be to put the blocks together?

If you wish to help, message me and I will send my address.

Rhonda, I have a whole layer cake of Riley Blake Stars and Stripes, you can have it for your student. I just finished making a jelly roll quilt from the same line for my friend's birthday, if she likes the fabric. If not, I'll make something else for her and keep the jelly roll quilt for myself. Let me know how to send you the layer cake. It is Riley Blake, so it has less pieces than most layer cakes. I also have a bunch of red and blue fabric squares cut 8-1/2" that I was going to make a zig zag quilt for some unknown boy, you could have that or the layer cake. I'll go count how much of that I have, and I have coordinates to go with it. I've been on a red, white and blue kick lately, and have some stuff to share with you.

You do mean 2012, don't you?

    Where do you teach?

I worked as a Teacher's Aide from 2008-2010 (Taught a reading class for low readers and worked for a lousy teacher-who got me fired by making up bogus crap about me because she wasn't doing her job), but all of the students that I worked with keep in contact with me.

Yes, I meant 2012-I'm losing my mind dear. I will send you my address okay.

If you look at my post "One of these things is not like the other" you can see the Riley Blake fabric made up, it is the first quilt.

Wish I would have known sooner, could have made something for the raffle or auction. Will see what I can get done, been really tied up with kids with La La's issues.

I hope you have gotten offers for fabric. Please pm me and let me know if you need any more. I am going to Springfield tomorrow to Joann's , Michael's, Hobby Lobby... where ever I can get DH to go and if you still need something maybe I can find something to send you.
