Default Raleigh Sewing and Quilt Expo -- Thursday thru Saturday

Hey Everyone! Anyone going to Sewing and Quilt Expo in Raleigh, NC this weekend? My boyfriend and I are going!! Well, I'm going and he is going with me I'm so excited!! Since this is our first time, we are just going to check it out, do some shopping and then maybe I will take some classes next year. Has anyone had any experience with purchasing a machine at one of the Expos or noticed the prices? They say machines are supposed to be discounted but are they worth the lower price? Anyone have a good experience purchasing a machine this way or would it still be better to buy local?

Sorry can't answer any of your questions.. just wanted to say Have FUN and wear comfortable shoes. You're gonna do alot of walking... I'm too far away to get there, but anxiously waiting for our local quilt show.

Me me me! I'm going! I can't wait!

Hubby is taking me Friday, it's a 3 hour or so drive, so he wants to leave early in the am so we can make it a day trip. Our son lives in Raleigh, so hopefully we'll be able to see him sometime during the day too.

I am ready to SHOP!! So excited.....

Thanks Judy! Oh yeah, comfy shoes. A must I've enjoyed quite a few quilt shows in the past year and love to spend a Saturday at one. I just checked out the floor plan and this is looking pretty good. We are driving 2 hours, I think, on Friday but not starting too early. We're going to stay over and revisit it again on Saturday before heading back. Cathryn, I hope you get to see your son while you are there. My bf is also going to show me a little of Raleigh since I've never been there. So it won't be all Expo for me either. I have been saving my money and I'm itching for something that yells, "take me home!" at me. I hope you find some goodies too! We'll certainly give it our best shot, won't we?

Ohhh, Wish I could go. Too far to drive this year maybe next year for sure.
My son and his family have just moved to Raleigh and aren't even in a house right now, their furniture etc. is still in their Alabama home until it sells. Let us know if this is a good one.
