WOW Coleen, what a marathon! I love your philosophy about 'That's good enough' and would really like to borrow it. I like to do my best too, even if it is not as good as someone else's best.
Cheers Mary B
Love the block, and your hard efforts show! Great job. The second one you do will be easier. That's what learning is all about.
Love it. It is beautiful and the colors are gorgeous. I can see why it would take so much time and patience. Patience is one thing I lack big time. LOL
Sending Coleen my cut pieces for the "Corn and Beans" block. I'll even pay return postage . . .
You certainly have a whole lot more patience than I do!!
Coleen, this is really pretty. I think it's nice to work on a challenging block to sharpen your piecing skills. Good for you for sticking with it when it turned out to be so hard to make. I love, love, love your choice of colors and how you arranged them. Great job all around.
I, too, admire your perseverance. Here's hoping the next block goes in half the time, the next in half again and soon you will be turning these out lickity split and wondering what the problem was with the first one!
It might have taken you seven hours, but it is a BEAUTIFUL block. Think of how pretty that will be in a quilt. Set block-to-block, I bet there will be a secondary design that you didn't know would be there. Sometimes we have to step out of our comfort zone!!! Love it.
That is a beautiful block! What a marathon - 7 hours! Great job tho :)
Please don't tell me you are going to make 96 of these for a king size quilt. It will take 96 days to get the quilt finished!
