Default Easy Way to Draw Arcs?

Anyone know of a simple way to draw half circles across a large square?
I grabbed a plate to trace and it wasn't quite the right angle plus I was having a hard time keeping the exact same distance between the other arcs. I guess to describe it I'm trying to create a rainbow (but starting in a corner not the middle). I have an applique in the middle of the square so I am skipping quilting where that is.
Maybe I need to quilt around the applique also so I don't have that un-quilted space in the quilt?
I don't know if I'm making any sense - he he he
I am having the hardest time with this middle square of my quilt! I spent several hours today drawing, washing off, re-drawing, etc. It's just not how the vision is in my head! I don't know what to do with it. I'm pretty frustrated by this point.

Here's a close-up of the middle block that I'm working on

    And the whole quilt

I use the old method of a string tied to a pencil, and the other one pinned to the center of the arc. That you can stick the pencil through). And stick a pin through the tape somewhere down the tape to hold it in place at the center of te arc. That should do it!

This will be little help to you right now, but I have a quilting stencil with arcs. The next time you are at a quilt shop you might want to look and see if they have one. That quilt design is called Baptist Fan.

I'm sorry I have no idea how to do it but I just had to comment on your beautiful quilt! I love the Ruby collection of fabrics, in fact it is almost an obsession with me!!!

I love your quilt. It is so bright and colorful. A perfect girly quilt. Personally I would echo quilt around the applique to make it pop. But making an arc like Jean said is an easy, tried and true way to do that. The name is the same as one of my DGD's just spelled differently.

I bought this nifty little ruler. I havent used it yet but it will trace out circles or arcs. You can find something similar in an office supply store that sells drafting supplies I'm sure. I saw a drafting ruler used on a recent episode of Fons and Porter
