LOL! Never thought of doing this!!! Usually I get "How much did they get you for this time?" and I always fudge the amount a bit!

My DH doesn't say anything to me....because the way I see it is I don't drink, do drugs or gamble so with all the money I'm saving by not doing that I can buy fabric and supplies.
Mine isn't so bad, either Shirley. But I'm on a somewhat short lease as we are double-timing our retirement accounts!
And I get a knot in my stomach everytime he takes 'the book' out...
Auntpiggy, glad to be of help! LOL
Oh, I so miss Tom, the UPS driver we had in the small town I lived in, in Texas. There were 4 of us that ran around together while our kids were in grade school and Tom would find us someplace in town and hand us our packages through the window of the truck, or come into the restaurant where we were having lunch. His son went to the same school as our kids and he knew all our vehicles. When I moved to Alb. I was sending some things back to the girls and I sent them UPS. I had messages written all over the outside of the box to Tom. The UPS guy here in Alb. asked about them, if I wanted them blacked out. I explained that they were for the UPS guy on the other end. He was surprised that there was only one guy on a route (it was a town of 6000, a lot smaller than Alb.) but he really thought it was cool that I took the time to send messages to Tom.
You girls are too funny...my dh gets the mail and says you got some packages...I say you remember I told you I ordered some stuff... and he looks at me with that quizzical look and asks if I want him to get them open for me...I love this guy!!!!

You girls really are to funny. My UPS man got to know me by delivering packages from Bass Pro Shop. So DH does not say ANYTHING when I get packages. I live in a rural area, and my mail lady Karen, will come pulling in the drive way, jump out and as I get to the door, she is running at me arms empty, no packages in hand. She just needs to use the bathroom. Not sure if she does that to anyone else or not.
Hi, my name is Sue and I am also addicted to fabric! hahaha
Shirley, Love the.....Nope, mail don't run on Sundays!!!! Too funny! My DH is very supportive of my quilting and he really enjoys joking around with me. When I first started quilting this past fall, he told me (with a look of utmost authority) that I couldn't buy any more fabric until he saw at least 2 pieces of fabric sewn together. Needless to say I was laughing before he finished saying it and he was trying to hide a smirk! What he didn't know at the time was that I was already working on his Saints quilt. When I made the label I added his comment about the "2 pieces of fabric"! Thank God for our supportive husbands :)
pc, I've finished 5 or 6 quilt tops. My REAL first top I sent to MSQC to be machine quilted, and DH was somewhere between 'blown away' and impressed. But he couldn't keep up with my productivity, and the $$ ($) to finish a quilt and send it out...
I have 2 finished to date. One was the machine-quilted from MSQC (AWESOME) the other old-school, tied
With embroidery thread (also AWSOME). Both binded by machine and hand. I got the strongest reaction from #2.
It may be my signature, I think! Let's hope it all holds up in the wash!
Funny! Shirley I really like your answer, too! My husband teases me that the UPS man and I must have something going on because he's always stopping at our house! lol We came home from fishing today and there lay two packages on our back porch. Guess I missed my rendezvous. :D
