We have only seen one on our place, but we sure smell them when we drive around on roads. They can have rabies.
Poor little babies. Did you call animal control? They may come get them, and put them somewhere out of harms way. I have heard they make very good pets. Personally do not want one though.
It's amazing how something so cute can smell sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo BAD!!!!!
soooooooo cute, but can you please not scare them so they will stay there, lololol,,,,,,peeeeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuuu
How lucky are you to see such cuties! We have them around our house but I never get to see them. I think they are adorable. I know they stink horribly but it's a good thing for them. They are so gentle they'd never last long in the wild if they didn't have that for protection. I'm sorry to hear their mama was killed.
Dad brought Li'l Sis and I each a baby (without hair) when we were young. Mother had been road kill - we raised them with doll bottles and never had them descented. They were terrific pets. Dad built a cage for them with an underground hibernation cave. We had them for about four or five years and when they started getting 'frisky' he put in a trap door for them. For a while they would come and go on their own but then one day never returned. We called them In and Out with reference to a joke he had shared with us.
Anyone know the story of In and Out?
