Default I have a question about starching area...

Does anyone know if it would be better to have a separate area for starching and ironing and just ironing with no starching?

I don't like to have a lot of starch build up on my surface so I put a plastic sheet down under the things I am spraying with starch then roll them up and put in the fridge until the starch has soaked all the way through before ironing.... or several days later when I remember I have stuff to iron.

I never iron with starch. I only prewash reds.

hmm I think I will put plastic down then. I was concerned about the starch build up around the area. I like starching when piecing many smaller pieces together. It seems to make for a better square. Thanks ladies...
