I watched the other thread with interest because I've had similar experiences; with cake, not Quilts! I'm way, way behind your skill and experience and so cannot comment!

Things like this only hurt because your Quilting really matters to you. It's hard to face discouragement (especially from family, I know!) when the matter in hand is one near to your heart. You and your customer have agreed terms and both are happy. Truly, that is what matters. You have learned so much from this experience and, when the dust settles, this hard-won foundation is something you can build on.

I'm going to watch your gallery and threads with interest; I think you haven't even broken the surface of what you can do.
