    Default Scraps and more scraps...

I just sorted all my scraps, big and small, by color. I guess I must like blues & purples because I have a lot of those. I'm using them in a spiderweb quilt. Well I have enough for that quilt and more - glad I bought a scrap quilt book. I told DH that it will be my quilt because it has pieces of fabric from the stuff I've made for my family, home and friends.

Here's what is done so far...I will post another picture when it's finished:

I love it I definately need to get one of those templates, cuz I have tons of scraps. I have a hard time throwing any bits of fabric away.

Forgive me for sticking my nose in here, but you don't need a template and papers to do this block. (Sorry Jenny) I did this following Amy Gibsons instructions on Craftsys BOM - it's free and you can join anytime.

How did you do that? I bought the kit from MSQC which included the papers and the ruler just as in Jenny's video. My webs were way off, which I think I could live with, but so was my "star" which had been a charm pack. Your's looks great. I tabled mine for some future date. Good job!

I use my Accuquilt Go to cut the white 5" squares. For my strips I don't use charms because the first ones, the strips next to the white, don't seem to be long enough for me. I like to make sure the strips are longer so when I trim them up they are all even with the edge of the paper.

One other thing I forgot to mention is that I iron some scraps before I start because when I put them in bags, baskets, drawers or wherever I'm storing them, they get wrinkled. I think ironing them helps keep them even when they're trimmed.
