I want to thank everyone for their opinion and taking time to give me advice on this thing. I have now washed this with a binding on but like i said in a previous post i have cut off the binding and one strip of border so that it all lays flat and no bunches. I have watched even more videos,printed several different variations of directions of instructions on binding and miter corners, and most of all I have practiced on scrap, I will be putting on a different binding so that at least it looks and lays better. As for it being tied, the person knew up front that it would be tied. I told her my machine would not be big enough to quilt it, and when she didn't understand what tying a quilt meant, i referred her to other pics of other quilts that i had tied that i have on Facebook. I will wait and see what happens when i put on new binding.
