It is so interesting, I went to my LQS which is one mile from my house looking for some backing fabric. She looked at what i wanted and said, no we don't have anything like that, and walked away to cut some fabric for herself. She just left me to serch around or leave. I chalked that up to "she doesn't care if she makes a sale or not". That is total arrogance. Her shop is a destination location, you have to purposely go there, no real foot traffic. I was so disappointed in that treatment, makes me not want to go back. And this was the shop owner. Very poor business model, and 180 degrees from the treatment I got in Hamilton, MO,

I am so inspired from Jenny too! I started this quilting journey (obsession ) with her tutorials and she makes it easy and fun to make lovely quilts. She is incredible!

Do you think that Jenny Knows--- that she needs to move in to my neighborhood so I can have her come in person??
You hit the nail on the head! Every other tutorial I watch leaves me guessing, but never hers!

Plus it's easy enough to imagine a smaller size-- ex: the self binding baby blanket! I can't really afford to go out and buy all that flannel, but if I shrink the dimensions in my head, using the same ratio ( she used 40 in. backing for 30 in. front, so I can use anything as long as the back is 10 inches bigger, right) for coasters as Christmas gifts!

I have to be careful though to go through my stash because she does inspire me to spend money on all those cute fabrics!
