    Default New sewing machine...

My new sewing machine was delivered today. It's a Kenmore by Janome. Since using my DD's Kenmore I knew I wanted one. The one she has is mechanical but I wanted a computerized one. Sears will no longer be selling the Kenmore sewing machines so I thought if I wanted one I'd better get it now. So now I'm off to learn to use it.

Hope it is a good fit in the sewing room! I have a friend who has the equivalent of a Janome 10000 the is from Kenmore. She likes it just fine. Have a blast with your new machine. My first sewing machine was a Kenmore, it sewed my wedding dress and many many outfits for my three kids before it gave up the ghost. It sewed though canvas, I often wished I had kept it for that reason, it hemmed jeans very well.

I think this is the same one I have (19233) , and I really like it! Needle up-down, needle threader, lock stitch, lots of feet, etc etc. I recently bought an extension table for it, so I'm ready to tackle more machine quilting - just have to finish a quilt top first! Enjoy learning your new machine!

I have it in the house right now - getting ready to take it to my building. I'll bet you are excited....can't wait to see some of your creations - you'll love the embroidery if that's the one you're still getting.
