To Sisters with my sister

I just booked a flight to Oregon to visit my sister. She has a vacation home in the Cascades in Sisters, OR. They have a beautiful piece of property that looks out at the 3 Sisters Mountains, what a view! My trip coincides with the Sisters Quilt Festival, which is held every year during the second week in July. This year it is July 14-15. I am very excited about seeing my sis, and attending the festival.

Anybody in the Pacific NW planning on attending this event? If so, let me know and maybe we can meet up there! My sis tells me they are working on a 40 foot long quilt to display at the festival. That will be some looooooong quilt! Will cover a bunch of beds in a very big room!

Sounds like a fun-filled trip! You deserve it, Jean. Wish we all could meet up there with you. Oh well, maybe sometime.

No, my sister does other crafts, but not much with a sewing machine. Sisters is in central OR, near Bend. I looked up Enumclaw WA, you are somewhat near Seattle, aren't you? It is really beautiful country, I'm sure you love it up there. Wouldn't it be fun if we could meet there?

They've lived in Oregon for quite a while, and love it there. They got married and went to U of O (Yea, Mighty Ducks!)for grad school. Then they were in Denver for 10 years, then back to Portland. They have vacation property in Sisters, AND in a coastal resort city, where they just built a real house (they have a trailer on the Sisters property). I'm anxious to see that place!

My aunt and uncle lived in Pittsburgh for many years. They lived in Upper St. Clair. We traveled there very often! Sadly, they've both passed away, and no family lives there anymore.
