Help us make up our minds
Al and I are considering - help us narrow it down:

Re: Help us make up our minds
I vote for the beach property.

Re: Help us make up our minds
Just remember, when we are settled you are all invited to join us as long as you pay the rent.
-
Re: Help us make up our minds
I'll just stay right here on my quiet little mini-mountain with the beautiful view.
-
Re: Help us make up our minds
San Fran I'd need to know if it was the "wet" side, and way too many stairs. Chicago - nope, cold and ugly and the view out that window is not that great. NY - winner. Rocky Mountain - another winner, but way too much cold so you'll need the Miami beach house too. Also for NY - too much winter to be an only residence. I think you'd better keep looking, you're not there yet.

Re: Help us make up our minds
San Fransisco. If I come stay I can finally spread the ashes in my closet up the road in the Redwoods.

Shhh. I think Sonic wins!!

Re: Help us make up our minds
Which one is closest to Hamilton?
-
Re: Help us make up our minds
Funny, when I saw the 1st photo, before I read the comments, I thought "San Francisco". My grandparents lived
in a similar home in SF for many years. ALL of the SF Bay Area has soaring rents. We just sold our mountain/weekend
home in the mountains so I vote for the Rocky Mountains.

Re: Help us make up our minds
I vote for the Windy City ( Chicago ) ......We lived there when my DH Terry was in college......nothing that expensive ( we were poor college students ! )
All of the photos are gorgeous !

Re: Help us make up our minds
Probably none of the above for me.. can't you just see me living in one of those,, hob knobbing with " high mucky mucks" and reusing sheets of parchment paper for baking...or refilling my water bottle from my own filtered water...:icon_razz:
try this place... but we have no M* close:))))

Re: Help us make up our minds
The ski retreat would be our cup of tea!
-
Re: Help us make up our minds
I vote for Chicago .... I have a spare bedroom upstairs .... you can see the downtown skyline if you get up on the roof .... and my rent would be soooooo much more reasonable! Of course you would have to share the second floor with my Juki and Grace frame. (Sorry, no elevator.)
-
Re: Help us make up our minds
I like the Windy City condo!
-
Re: Help us make up our minds
Oh, Sandy! Maybe you should come to Louisiana, our rent is much more quilter friendly. Any of the places you have posted would run MSQC out of business with the loss of your purchasing power. LOL!
-
Re: Help us make up our minds
Miami, that place looks like it was made for a King and Queen. But the rent! Are you serious...
-
Re: Help us make up our minds
And yet if you moved to Chicago we would be neihgbors. I am "just" 90 miles north! That would be a plus for me!
-
Re: Help us make up our minds
Sandy, thank you so much for the invitation! Boy could I use a vacation. I understand completely your need to have your many guests pay the rent during their stays. I will plan to stay 30 - 45 minutes, depending on which property you settle on. Let's talk dates later, k?
-
Re: Help us make up our minds
Rocky Mountain Ski Retreat would be my choice. But, if you chose Miami, you would only be a few hours away from me!

Re: Help us make up our minds
Which has most quilt/fabric shops within 20 mile radius?
-
Re: Help us make up our minds
Oh the Beach House for sure
-
Re: Help us make up our minds
Beach party palace. Then you could have a pool boy.....:icon_crazy::icon_tup::icon_drool:

Re: Help us make up our minds
I vote for the beach house, I saw a room that would make a wonderful quilting room - all you need to do is put all that exercise equipment in storage.

I agree. I think running a foot pedal is exercise anyway. Good for the calves.

Exercise? I thought you said 'extra fries'.

Re: Help us make up our minds
None, nada! Just give me one month's rent, and I'll head for a two lane country road and my Hill Country home! :D :D
-
Re: Help us make up our minds
Would love to have roucky mountains. You would only be closer to me. I know great fabric stores here and Vegas and even in Salt lake. But look like some major price tags. My advise is follow your heart
-
Re: Help us make up our minds
Hey Sandy.......we don't won't to pay rent when we come visit you............unless you are going to host a retreat! :D
-
Re: Help us make up our minds
Yes, host a retreat!! Although there is NO parking available in SF,
even if we car pooled you have to move your car twice a week
for street cleaning! lol! Get a place with a long driveway.

Re: Help us make up our minds
Interesting to see how the rich & famous live. Can't say I really liked any of them. Just not me. I'll be content in my 4 BR ranch in suburbia.
