Lazy Sunday Morning
Good morning everyone. It's another nice fall morning here. Yesterday was spent mostly in the kitchen. After taking a trip up to a local farm, I worked on cleaning out the freezer in the extra fridge in the garage and getting it ready for the packages of veggies I was about to put in there. We got green beans, Brussels sprouts and corn done and then we canned some marinara sauce. I'll do a lot more green beans because we eat them a lot and I love having that farm fresh veggie in mid-February. :)
I got the fall decorations ready yesterday so today I will actually put them up. I also need to wash the living room windows and help hubby on the side yard for a bit. We want to measure the area from the side gate to our oil tank and see how many pavers we would need for that area. It's too hard clearing the snow from there with it being grass (really weeds). Then I will head up to my sewing room, put on the Yankee game and switch back and forth with the football games and sew away.
Hope everyone has a super Sunday

Re: Lazy Sunday Morning
Quiet here--I need to do a little cleaning, then I may do some hand quilting.
Good day to all.

Re: Lazy Sunday Morning
Hi Everyone.
We're having a quiet day. I made some stuffed peppers for our dinner and will just have to warm them up and I'm able to get the mess cleaned up early while I have energy. I also have an apple pie in the oven and the house smells wonderful.
I'm done with the trial where I had to testify for two days. I witnessed a 1st Degree Assault on a child and reported it to police and Child Protective Services. It was a nightmare for the child and it enraged me to the core. The Defendant was found guilty but hasn't been sentenced yet. The children (3) have been removed from the home. It was quite a dramatic week.
Wishing you all a blessed Sunday.

Re: Lazy Sunday Morning
I'm sorry you had to go through the ordeal of testifying, but thank you for getting involved in looking out for the well-being of a child who needed you. We should all be so diligent on behalf of the powerless and voiceless.

Re: Lazy Sunday Morning
I am going to have a glorious week. My DH works from home so he is always home, and I love him but a whole week of his not asking "what are we having for supper?" and his channel changing every three seconds with the remote "to see what's on"-- well I won't miss that. He left this morning for a week's vacation to go hiking with a friend. Poor me, I am home alone with the dog and can finally quilt to my heart's content uninterrupted!!! And I took this week ofc from work too. After 12 straight days of work I am so ready for this!!
