Thanks for the birthday wishes. Today is a day I only list to commercial/news free radio and don't turn the television on. I will never forget the 9/11 tragedies but I choose to focus on me for the day, sort of.
First of all, let me show you a picture of the haul I made yesterday at a garage sale. A lady passed away and her daughter was selling all of her quality quilt fabric for $1.00 a yard. What you see in the picture are three pillow forms, 3 full kits, the next two columns are various yardages, and the last two columns are 1/2 yard cuts. All washed, pressed and folded!! I spent $90 but got over 100 yards of fabric. Happy Birthday To Me.
When I got up this morning my husband had hung a curtain rod in my sewing room that I purchased 4 months ago. He mowed the lawn last night and made "his bed" this morning. He sleeps in the daybed in my sewing room often since he has restless leg syndrome. It's the little things in life that make me happy!!
I haven't been on the forum much lately. As of 5:30 this afternoon I will be hosting a foreign exchange teacher from Kelheim Germany. She is in Effingham along with two other chaperones and 48 students for almost two weeks. I am excited about getting to meet her, and she told me she was bringing Bavarian fabric for me as a gift!! As soon as she leaves I will be getting on a bus for Philadelphia hoping to get a glimpse of Pope Francis. I signed up to go on the trip then was asked to "help" coordinate it. I ended up doing all the work since the Priest going along on the trip doesn't use a computer. Jeez, it's become a part time job. I shouldn't complain, I'm in good health and don't have to work outside the home, but it has been much more work than I thought it would be.
Again, thank you for all of your birthday wishes. It's a great day and I am so blesses!!
