I heard World Vision is helping and I trust them. Primarily a Christian child sponsorship program, they take one-time donations as well.

The World, as we know it, is floundering on so many fronts. This is an aftermath of that. It's heartbreaking, and will take a Herculean effort from many countries to end this tragedy(ies) and the atrocities. I think media coverage and current technology has hardened the hearts of many, and in the time of "me", to a large degree many have lost their compassion, humanity, and sense of right and wrong as a result. It speaks deeply to the souls and hearts of those that hold fast to what are considered "old fashioned" standards, morals, principles and deep personal convictions. I only know I'm a very small cog in the mechanisms of this old World, but I can do my part. Small though it may be, If one drop of water is put in a bucket, along with other many drops, it soon is overflowing.
    We are cups
    constantly and quietly being filled.
The trick is.....Knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out!

Do what you can, with what you have, where you are... That's all anyone can do. But do something!!

    Amen, Carrie, Amen.

We are going to see more and more of this kind of thing in the coming months and years, not only in the world but in our own country. We have turned our back on what made us great and we will pay the price. None of us alone can make a huge difference, but together, we can.

I feel the same Preeti, It is such an awful situation. And I feel the need to act. I am blessed however that part of my job is to work with refugees with special needs. Through this work I have learned of many organizations that are doing amazing work. One of which is World Vision (previously mentioned), also Lutheran Social Services, catholic Charities, Refugee one, . The list goes on. But it takes more, The world needs to stop this--the UN, EU, USA,... All of us , Our governments need to stop terror, torture, genocide.
As for us as individuals we can sponsor families /support our local Refugee resettlement agencies, write our Senators and congressmen, support our military, etc... pray.
