Every couple wants their wedding ring to be unique and an unequal manifestation of their love. But they end up making the same old very common rings with same metal the others are made of. Some couples replace the yellow gold by white gold or silver or platinum. However, at times these options have not gotten well with the male community, as they prefer something which is masculine and at the same time classy. People also consider titanium rings, which are durable and trendy, but the only problem with them is that they require utmost care and maintenance as they are not scratch-resistant. Now with Tungsten Carbide Rings, you don’t have to worry about any of the above mentioned issues and problems. These rings look classy, are more durable and harder than most of the metals and can be designed to suit the requirements of both men and women.

Another important feature of a tungsten carbide ring is that it is very trendy to look at and can be made in different designs. Some couples decide to give a faceted cut to their wedding rings. The other designs can be:
Matted or bevelled rings
Rings inlaid with other metals
Domed or flat rings

To get more out of your tungsten carbide rings, try black tungsten rings as they are unique and quite elegant and trendy at the same time. When used with diamonds, the beauty of the ring takes an altogether different leap towards unparalleled beauty and elegance. Diamond compliments tungsten carbide rings in more than one way, beauty is one and another one is the durability and strength. Tungsten is almost impossible to get scratched and diamond is the hardest substance on earth. This combination is highly significant and lasts for a lifetime or beyond. Tungsten carbide rings inspires and amazes the ageless splendor, a perfect representation of your relationship. Whatever be the type of tungsten carbide rings you select, it will give a long term outcome.

Whoo Hoo! My Little Big Star wall hanging is finally getting done! I really like this little quilt because it reminds me of stained glass. The Batiks are really nice and bright and I think the black sets it off really well. I had a whole bunch of black, but I've used it for several different projects, so I must order more for the borders. Also, I need to figure out what I want for the backing. Other than that, I am so proud of this one!

This weekend i went to my dads and my step-mom showed her quilting club the quilt i quilted that we all made for my niece. The members asked her if i did quilting for other people, I really thought she was joking... not so much. While we were at lunch, my LQS owner called and asked the same question- NO JOKE. Is this God's way of giving me a different direction for my life? Who knows? So i have REALLY been thinking about it. So i went and took a baby blanket that i refuse to give to anyone because it is soooooo bad and used it to start trying FMQing. I will not be doing that on someone else's quilt anytime soon. BUT I think i could do other quilting....you know the SITD, patterns, etc.

I guess what i'm asking is if anyone here has done this and what is the pros/cons of it. let me know.

Lots of times people ask, how much fabric should I buy? I wish this forum was around 10 years ago.....I bought this fabric from Joann's and made a dress for my oldest daughter. I have searched and never found this dolphin/ocean fabric again. How much do I love it....I cut up the dress to make my youngest daughter a skirt last week for her ocean themed dance. My oldest saw the picture of her sister and sent me a message..." Mom, you should make me something from that fabric," .......I should have bought the bolt...lol little does my oldest DD know I searched for this fabric when I made her quilt last year. Just thought I'd share!

so a couple of you have asked what's happening with me so I felt I should probably fill you all in....sorry this might get long.

We have friends...

so a couple of you have asked what's happening with me so I felt I should probably fill you all in....sorry this might get long.

We have friends who are ten years younger than us who moved to San Jose, California last year for work. Their son and ours were closer than most siblings which is a very rare thing indeed. Liam has not adjusted well to their move and misses his friend terribly. J, his mother, is my only friend (other than y'all here! and a neighbor on my street). D, is his father and was good friends with my DH and me as well. We were very close and became very much like family, caring for each others children, having weekend dinners together, camping together and so on. Our kids were in sports together...you get the gist.

However...I tend to also attract "crazy" to my world. If you knew me long, you would know about the crazy second cousins I have allowed into my home - one trashed my truck and the other stole money from my son and then left, and you would also know about my first cousin who was 10 years older than me and had very serious psychological/delusional mental health issues and I still took her in for six months....of pure insanity. I attract crazy.

Well J is no exception but I do love her to pieces. We are both very avid gardeners and love our children but she has adult aspergers and some very serious trust issues with men. But, she loves my son as though he was her own and if anything ever happened to us Liam would most want to live with them. However, when J and D fight they fight like no one I have ever met before.

So Liam is scheduled to fly there with me in two weeks. I am staying for only 5 days but Liam was to remain there for the entire month of July. He will be 11 in October and we thought it would be an incredible experience for him to live in another country even if it's only our "neighbors". Not to mention spending the month with Kieran who he misses terribly.

Well yesterday J and D had a MASSIVE fight. They were divorcing, she was moving home to me, it was awful...and when they fight she very often will drag others into the fight. D threatened suicide if she left him, she was on the phone with me and they are screaming and yelling and talking about guns and police and then the line when dead. I was pretty freaked out as there is no screaming, yelling or even raised voices in our house...and I though if my son was there I would have been totally losing my mind. She did call back and explain the situation (which I won't bother explaining or this will be a novel) and we left things up in the air as to our trip.

So I did not sleep all night, and today I was trying to figure out how to get our airline tickets refunded...I can't...can't sell them either as they're not transferrable. AND how are we going to put Liam in summer camps...are there even any available at this point?? and so on and so forth. I sent an email and was very concerned about what we were supposed to do and she had offered to reimburse us the money for the tickets and then she thought I was being insensitive when really I was in total panic mode! My number one priority is, and always will be, my son. She knows this about me though so I guess she understood.

My DH spoke to both D and J today and apparently they have calmed down but by the time I got home I was a total stressed mess. Had a good cry and feel much better now....but it was an incredibly stressful day. I do NOT DO DRAMA. Just totally NOT into that at all....I understand that they fight, but man keep me OUT of it! I can't handle that crap! I should have known they would make up, they always do...she threatens to leave him for one infraction or another every 4 or 5 years....but WHY do I always have to attract crazy?!? I mean I musta been some horrible person in another lifetime,...honestly! Why!? I love my friend but mostly I love her children so will maintain the relationship for their sake and that of my son....but boy I do NOT want to be dragged into their fights anymore...way too much stress for me! So I'm still torn about having Liam there...for an entire month but yesterday he informed me that he's seen them fight like that on several occasions! Nice! First I had heard of it. He says he's fine with it...him and Kieran just leave. Oye! Anyway...that's why the stress today.

Left early in the morning for my drive to Austell for my ultrasound appointment which was confirmed on Friday by both offices.

When I checked in I was told "No, we don't have you listed for any ultrasounds, are you sure?" I'm thinking not how I want to start my Monday! Then she finds my orders in the Mammogram department. "Mrs. Schmer, the Dr. wants more mammogram films and then an ultrasound if need be. "Fine, I'm just here to bring my right TaTa!" Chuckle from the ladies over their cup of Joe. I aim to please...

Now I was not planning on this emotional roller coaster doing 3 sets of mammagrams. Having one's boob rotated clock wise is not fun. Get one done, have the radiologist look at them, do more with twist views, wait, more with twist views, then 20 minutes of ultrasounds, instead of 5. Poor tech is apologizing, told her not to worry, by this time it had been 3 hours already, I was enjoying laying down. The radiologist came in and told me it seems to be a growth in a lymphnode, 5 mm - about the size of a pea.

I'm going to need an Outpatient Procedure: A stereotactic breast biopsy with a core needle.

This mammogram needle procedure is quite interesting. You're on your stomach and your breast is placed in a hole where it can be mammogrammed, this gives the doctor better accuracy to locate the growth. He'll take several tissue biopsy samples and lab results should be back in a few days.

If you google Stereostactic Breast Biopsy, you will find that not every major Hospital/Medical Center has one of these special mammogram tables. Not even all of the Cancer Centers of America do.

It's quite amazing. Now I know our Sandy is going to come up with some interesting jokes. My Kat wants all massage tables to have boob holes, of course she's took after my Mams and is quite chesty. lol

The films were sent to Dr. Kennedy and I'll wait to hear for the outpatient procedure. Don't know how long that time frame will be, Don might be home by then. He arrives on the 27th.

Needless to say I was pooped out when I got home, filled in the family and friends, had lunch, then took a long nap.

Thanks to for the prayers and PMs, it means a lot to me. Especially since I don't have my mother to lean on. My dad is in Holland and we're just not that close, the emotional support/connection isn't there. Kat is my Baby and I don't want to burden her too much about my fears.

However, we caught it early AND we don't know what it is AND if it's malignant! Positive thoughts is what I'm going with! :) Otherwise, it is what it is and I feel really good with the medical team/facility I've been dealing with.

This is a perfectly imperfect quilt. I planned on FMQ'ing meanders over the pinwheels - that didn't work, so I echoed instead. But then I decided to give it one more try by doing hearts in the border - and it worked perfectly, as long as you don't try to find two matching hearts. The difference is that I forgot the feed dog cover when I did the border - but it worked perfectly, so whatever!
The pattern is Pinwheels and Prarie Points by Moda, and the fabric is Posy by Aneela Hooey for Posy. My best friend from high school is having a little girl, and her mother is flying to California tomorrow, so this is being dropped off tonight.

Hi Everyone

I am in the process of finishing one quilt and wanting to start another one this summer. I am wanting to make the disappearing 9 patch quilt in black and white. Do you have any good places to buy fabric online? I live out in western Kansas where fabric shopping is very limited. I checked the Missouri Star Quilt Co. website but they didn't have any charm packs in black and white.

Thanks for your help!

With time on my hands waiting for the plumber, I decided to clean up and re-organize my bookmarks. Wow, what a job. As the bookmark categories keep growing, I found that I needed to break them down into more folders so I can find things. I'm still looking for some great things I saved...........but where? And of course, sometimes I forgot to change the name in the link section so it made some kind of sense to me.

Here are my categories of folders on my PC, but I really need to break it down even more so I find things. What do you do to keep organized and find your things? I know, it probably seems a little OCD, but you can't put everything you bookmark under one folder (Quilting). At least, I can't. I'd never find a thing! I NEED subfolders.

This what I've been using, but I think I need to break it down more.

There's got to be an easier way. It's going to take me days to sort. Any tips or suggestions will be welcome.
